Ingredients

  • 2 15oz cans tomato sauce
  • 3 15oz cans and One 12oz can water
  • 12 oz can tomato paste
  • 1 onion - diced
  • 1 green pepper - diced
  • 5 chicken legs
  • garlic salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • sugar
  • handful of parsley
  • handful of basil
  • 2-3 Tbsp Romano cheese
  • 3/4 to 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Steps

  1. 1For Sauce (make first):
  2. 2put olive oil in large pan
  3. 3add chicken and brown on all sides
  4. 4add onion, green pepper, garlic salt, black pepper, sugar, tomato sauce, water, tomato paste, parsley, and sweet basil
  5. 5cook for 1 hour
  6. 6remove chicken legs from sauce (these can be eaten whenever)
  7. 7For Meatballs:
  8. 8Mix all ingredients together in a bowl
  9. 9Shape into meatballs
  10. 10Add to sauce and cook for 45 minutes
  11. 11Serve on its own or over pasta
